Hello and welcome!

This blog is the continuation of the old Gardens of Hecate, which I started in November 2012. Over the past eight years I wrote about my miniature and scenery projects, events I took part in, lore, my painting process, and more. Many of you reading this will already know me from there. For those of you who don't: I'm a miniature artist focused on creating grim, immersive worlds through tabletop miniature projects. This encompasses everything from modelling, sculpting, painting, building scenery and crafting gaming paraphernalia, to writing, graphic design and miniature photography.

In late 2019 I made a decision to become a professional miniaturist, and after jumping through a swarm of bureaucratic hoops I recently managed to finish establishing a legitimate painting studio. From now on, making tabletop miniatures is not only my hobby, but also my full-time occupation. Luckily, I’m more passionate about it than ever.

I do not intend to stop blogging, and the type of content on this new blog will stay the same as it was on the old one. I upgraded my camera, computer and editing software, which will enable me to elevate the quality of my content to a higher level. I’m especially looking forward to being able to make better looking tutorials and battle reports. There will be no paywalls, it will stay freely available to everyone. Plan is to give videos a try at some point, but that’s still far off. The old blog is staying right where it is. There are close to three hundred posts there, including useful tutorials, which I would hate to take down. So it will be retired, but stay up as an archive of my old projects.

Apart from the blog you're now reading, this new website contains a gallery of projects you can browse through, as well as a convenient contact form through which you can inquire about any commission ideas you may have.

I will also continue to be present on Facebook and Instagram, and you can find and reach me through there as well.

If you followed me here from my old platform, thank you for your attention and support over the years. If you're new, I hope my future work will enthral you enough for you to keep coming back to the Gardens.

And if you like what I do, consider commissioning a little something for your collection.

Regards,

Ana

Congratulations on the new website and blog- and career! I hope you make it.

I’m going to keep going to your old blog and forgetting there’s a new site for a while I think.

I am very excited to see this new development, and happy to hear that you are making a business out of your passion. You have one of the most unique and evocative styles in the miniature gaming hobby. I eagerly await what comes next.
