Ghast, Ghosts and Cages

This week's post brings a handful of monsters and scatter terrain pieces from my personal backlog. First up, the Briar Queen from Warhammer Underworlds warband Thorns of the Briar Queen. It's a fantastic kit. I've painted this model before, but not fot my own collection; now I have one to haunt my ruins.
Grimshast Reapers and Extoller of Shyish from the AoS Soul Wars starter set. I just need a Spirit Host (or more likely a proxy) and I can assemble a functional Warcry warband of Nighthaunt. These were all painted using my usual methods for ethereal entities, which you can find in this TUTORIAL.
This mean-looking Ghast is a Heresy Miniatures model with a simple headswap (one of the Grymwatch characters' heads from GW). It was made to expand my existing pack of feral ghouls. I like the pet rat he's got there! Will be a nice tie in with the rat swarms coming in WHQ: Cursed City.
Finally, more small scenery. A big metal cage from Wizkids Deep Cuts and chain piles that came with it. You can actually place a miniature inside the 50x50x50mm cube, which is convenient for rescue scenarios. I have a few more Wizkids Deep Cuts kits on my painting table at the moment, so I'll be able to show them off soon. The two smaller wooden cages are from the GW plastic giant kit, and will look nice in monster camps. The cauldrons and pillory are Zealot Miniatures resin.
If you want a custom miniature or scenery made for you, drop me an email - you can find it in the bottom of the page, together with the Gardens of Hecate Facebook, Instagram and RSS links.
Splendid color diversification within a very limited palette. Kudos!
Thank you very much!
