Wandering Hexahedron

Grobniks are not the only threat awaiting bold thieves who land on the red sands of Nekroplanet Grob. One may encounter hostile local fauna, strange phenomena, desparate stranded explorers, foul weather, and mystical forces. A Wandering Hexahedron is a seemingly indestructible and unstoppable object that slides its way across the planet, steamrolling anyone foolish enough to stand in its path. A number of these deadly cubes have been observed in the wild, varying in size but not in danger they pose. It is a mystery whether this is a part of the planet's security system, or a force of its own...
This month we’re looking at an example of Nekroplanet wildlife. The Wandering Hexahedron is our first entry in the bestiary, and it’s a strange one. Large, unpredictable, faceless, and impossible to damage - this cube is more of a moving piece of deadly terrain. It scoots a random distance in a random direction each turn and mercilessly flattens whichever Grobnik or Raider it passes through. It has potential to cause mayhem, so I’m looking forward to testing it soon.

The model can easily be made from whatever cube one has on hand. I have two now, both converted from plastic puzzle toys:

As you can see in the photos, I have new scenery to show. Crumbling wall sections and mausoleums make great backdrops as well as gaming terrain.

These pieces are pretty slow to make since I need to pour plaster many times before I have enough to build anything, but the building stage is fun and the result is stunning! The silicone moulds I’m using are from Rotten Factory, and you can find them here: LINK. I picked them up during one of their previous Kickstarters.

Thank you Owlshield!
I love your use of plastic doodads in your builds. A freaking puzzle cube as a menacing piece of terrain/creature is such an outlandish idea, but it works so well!
The monochromatic red terrain is also extremely striking, gives the otherwise pretty generic ruined walls an instant sinister alien vibe.
Thanks WarHamster!
Loving seeing what you are making out of those rotten factory molds, I’ve been using them myself but your layouts are so creative.
