This month I have a step-by-step of the classic colour scheme for Grobniks of Nekroplanet Grob, shown on this Sharpshooter. Enjoy!

As always, big thanks to my paying Patreon members! Thanks to you all my tutorials are available for everyone. Making this stuff takes time and effort, and becoming a paying member is one way you can reward it.

On 21 and 22 February I attended Leaving Asphodel, a Necropolis campaign event and part of the annual Black Queen Hobby and Miniature Painting Competition held by UMS “Agram” in Zagreb. It gathered a dozen players, some local and some from neighbouring countries.

I’ve been aware of Necropolis (formerly known as Necropolis28) for years now. As described by the author Peter Vigors, it’s “a miniatures-agnostic skirmish game about rival...

This past February I attended Leaving Asphodel, a Necropolis event and part of the annual Black Queen Hobby and Miniature Painting Competition held by UMS “Agram” in Zagreb. Just for the occasion I wanted to craft a sick Grillet box to house and transport my Gathering and gaming implements.

My starting Gathering consisted of a single large model: the Vampire Queen (using the Ascended Undead profile in the Necropolis rules). I used my own...

What's your method?

Let me know in the comments.

I attended Kamping Kitbash in Leuven, Belgium 10-12 October. It’s a three day event focused on crafting, miniature making, and indie tabletop games, organised by the non-profit Chosen by Goblins. The event had its debut in 2024 in Ghent, which I also attended (read about it HERE). There was another one soon after in Enschede. Now in 2025 they invited me again as a guest to teach a painting workshop.

I flew in on the morning of Friday October...

Happy Halloween! The Kickstarter campaign for the Vampyr Warband miniature set launched this morning. It is another collaboration with Andrew May of Meridian Miniatures, who is running the Kickstarter for me. We’re releasing a new hand sculpted metal figure warband.

Creatures of the night gather from musty crypts to do the Vampire Queen's dark bidding. This set includes five shambling Ghouls, a trio of fluttering Vampire Bats,...

I have a small Nekroplanet shop drop for you this month - adding a couple things in the terrain/bits department.

Closed gate to a large Nekroplanet tomb. Ideal to install on a scratchbuilt structure, but it can also stand on its own on the table edge as the objective in the Enemies at the Gate scenario of the Nekroplanet Grob game. I sculpted it in July during that month’s Indie Mini Makers Collective Challenge: "Door". Sculpting a tomb gate...

Let’s have a look at my newest scenery build project: the Lander. I’ve previously made a smaller scale version meant only for scenic photo use (you can see it in THIS POST). Now I made one to scale with the Nekroplanet gaming minis. Besides enabling sick shots of Raiders arriving on the planet’s surface, this lander will serve as the Escape Vehicle for the Evacuation scenario in our skirmish game.

This was actually my second attempt at...

We gathered 24-27 July in Medvode, Slovenia for a narrative Turnip28 event. Turnip28 is an indie tabletop miniatures game and setting developed by British artist Max FitzGerald. The world of Turnip28 is a combination of postapocalyptic with napoleonics and root vegetables. Each player commands a Regiment of miniature soldiers, warmachines, and misshapen creatures, led by incompetent and careless officers. You can learn more...
