Back in December 2020, 28 mag had a fantastic giveaway called The Darkest Holiday. One of the two dozen lucky winners received a voucher to have a miniature converted and painted by me, and this here biomechanical monstrosity is the result. The winner sent me a box of various bits (mostly Kingdom Death and WH40K), and gave me complete freedom on what to make.
The base model is the disturbing Kingdom Death Wet Nurse. When it comes to KD, I'm really fond of their abominable monster designs and their knights. Absolutely high quality sculpts. Anyway, the bits I was sent contained a plastic bit that I don't know where it's from, but it looked a lot like a piece of an airplane's tail. This gave me the initial idea for the conversion, and after a bit of tinkering everything fell into place. Evidently I went to Beksinski for some inspiration, and the creature would feel at home in the red alien wastelands inhabited by my Necrons. Of course, it is now on its way to its happy owner in a faraway land. Godspeed!
If you want a custom miniature like this made for you, drop me an email - you can find it in the bottom of the page, together with the Gardens of Hecate Facebook, Instagram and RSS links.

Totally!
When I saw the Wet Nurse I immediately thought of something mechanicum and creepy. This goes well beyond this! Masterpiece!
Cheers Luc!
